Building better lives one word at a time Literacy Volunteers of the Montachusett Area provides: Free, confidential, and individualized tutoring in basic literacy and English for speakers of other languages. Assessment to determine appropriate placement with a tutor. ​​Students and tutors commit to working together for 9-12 months for 2 hours a week.
