There are many ways to volunteer with Literacy Volunteers of the Montachusett Area: you can become a tutor, help in a citizenship class, help in a conversation class, serve on a committee, or become a member of the board of directors.

Upcoming Volunteer Information Session

If you are, or if someone you know is, interested in becoming a tutor, a board member, a committee member, an intern, or volunteering with us in some other way, we are having a volunteer session on April 25, 6:30 – 8 PM on Zoom. These sessions are opportunities to come and find out about the organization, the students, and what is involved in tutoring and volunteering, and upcoming tutor trainings. Interested volunteers can attend either session.

    Support Literacy Volunteers of the Montachusett Area

    Literacy Volunteers mission is to promote and foster increased literacy in the Montachusett area through trained volunteer tutoring and to empower adults for whom English is a second language. We encourage and aid individuals, groups or organizations desiring to increase literacy through voluntary programs.
