Words from the Executive Director

Dear LVMont Community,

Happy Fall, everyone! I can’t believe how quickly this summer went by. I hope you have had the opportunity to get outside and enjoy the beautiful summer we have had! As for me, I started a new position in the middle of the summer, as the Executive Director of LVMont. Thankful for the trust that the board has put in me, I am excited to continue the wonderful work LVMont does, of which you are all an integral part. it has been a pleasure meeting some of you, and I can’t wait to meet those who I haven’t met just yet. I am excited to grow our organization after all the COVID limitations it has faced in the past few years.

With the COVID challenges diminishing, LVMont is facing a new challenge. We have been housed in the Fitchburg Public Library for the longest time. Unfortunately, this is coming to an end. The Fitchburg Public Library will be renovated and partially rebuild. This means that we will have to leave the library in October. A new location has yet to be found. Fitchburg Public library: a HUGE thank you for hosting us all these years and for all your support along the way.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Amy West for her hard and dedicated work in her position as program manager of LVMont. Luckily, she will stay on as a tutor! Amy, we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

In this issue of our Newsletter, I am excited to share a few upcoming LVMont events with you (be sure to check them out below!).

I hope to see you at one of our upcoming events, and I am always happy to hear from folks by phone and email, too! Please feel free to reach out anytime with your questions, ideas, or just to say hello.

All the best,

Zwanieke Visser
